Twim Academy has now partnered with Nigeria’s National Directorate of Employment (NDE). The NDE, which is a Federal Government initiative, is the country’s foremost agency for the creation of employment. Twim Academy’s partnership brings in much desired technical expertise especially in the stimulation of entrepreneurial initiatives and the use of low-barrier-to-entry skills to create self-employment.
It is said that more than 50 percent of Nigeria’s youths are either completely unemployed, or unsatisfactorily employed. With rapidly declining oil prices, Nigeria’s GDP has fallen, and a wave of job losses are predicted for 2016. A partnership such as this is therefore coming at the best time, as entrepreneurship and growth of the SME sector is fast becoming the priority of the government.
