4-month Foundation Course in Culinary Arts

This course covers:
1. Introduction to the kitchen, kitchen safety, knife skills, food preparation
2. Local dishes
3. Continental dishes
4. An advanced class in catering and restaurant operations

Duration: 4 months
Tuition Fees: N200,000
Registration Fees: N5,000
Schedule: Classes hold 3 times a week

1-Month Course in Drinks

The course covers cocktails and mocktails, bartending, hot beverages, and so on.

Duration: 1 month
Tuition Fees: N60,000
Registration Fees: N5,000
Schedule: Classes hold 3 times a week

1-Month Course in Patisserie

This covers pastries, breads, and other confectioneries

Duration: 1 month
Tuition Fees: N60,000
Registration Fees: N5,000

2-Month Course in Cakes and Cake Decorations

This covers all things cakes and decorations including sugarcraft

Duration: 2 months

Culinary Arts at The Twim Art Institute

Please Note:

  • Stated costs DO NOT include the cost of practicals. Students are expected to provide all they need for their practicals. The estimated cost for practicals is about N90,000-N150,000 depending on market prices. This estimate is for the 4-month foundation course
  • All students registered for any course will be required to take a compulsory class in Entrepreneurship.

What are the course schedules?

We provide options for morning and afternoon classes. Please confirm with the Admissions Office that your preferred option is available. We encourage early registration to ensure that you can study with us at your desired time. All courses at Twim Institute are very intensive. Please note that for the period you will be with us, you will have to devote considerable time to classwork, assignments and projects. You will also be expected to attend, and be punctual to, all classes.

Can I get accommodation on campus?

Yes! We have limited hostel spaces available for 1, 2, or 4 people per room depending on whatever option you choose. Please note that accommodation and feeding are billed separately. Also, please ensure to confirm availability with the Admissions Office.

Please tell me about the learning environment

Twim Institute is located in Onireke Link Reservation Road, a highbrow, secure, and serene Government Reserved Area in Ibadan. The street is bordered by the Ibadan Golf Club and Jericho Mall at the other end of the estate. The community is gated and hosts several expatriate workers. Twim Institute itself is a conducive facility located on approximately one acre of land.

What equipment and facilities are available for classes?

Students in the School of Fashion are trained in our fashion studios where they have access to an assortment of manual and electric sewing machines. Students have a 1 person to machine ratio.
