Course Description

TThe EduQual Diploma in Business Management (SCQF Level 11) is a Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) equivalent to a Level 7 qualification, or a 120-credit post-graduate course (for perspective, a UK Masters degree is typically 180 credits). It is designed to meet the needs of senior/middle managers in the running of their businesses and to facilitate their progression to higher levels within their organisation. Managers must be aware of issues, analyse their potential outcomes and consequences, and decide how to react. They do not have to be experts in all areas of business, but they need to possess a general awareness of what specialist facilities and services exist and how they can assist in carrying out that role. The programme includes contemporary topics reflecting key issues within the 21st-century business environment and the latest developments in management research. 

While this is useful as a standalone postgraduate-level qualification, candidates can also use it to gain credits so that they can just “top-up” to an MBA or similar masters degree by enrolling for a 60-credit project with a university.

Entry Requirements 

Bachelors degree, normally at a minimum of lower second class (2:2) or an equivalent qualification, plus at least two years of relevant work experience in managerial roles.  Applicants with HND may be considered on an individual basis, subject to meeting other requirements.

Or: 

A minimum of 5 years of managerial work experience in Business Managerial roles and evidence of ability to study at the postgraduate level

Applicants for whom English is not a first (or official) language will be expected to demonstrate a level of proficiency of at least IELTS (International English Language Testing System) 6 or above.

 All classes are delivered online via e-learning through Online Campus, our e-learning portal.

Tuition (Nigerian students): N350,000

Tuition (Foreign students) GBP 500

Assessment fee (all students): GBP 200

Assessment

Our students are assessed using our learning rubric. There are no exams. Assessment is based on assignments and projects.

Progression Options

Upon completing the program, students can top up to an MBA. Interested students can graduate with a degree from The Buckinghamshire New University or The University of Bolton. With Buckinghamshire New University, students can attend their graduation in person. 

The top-up option provides the opportunity to graduate with an MBA from a UK government-owned university at a fraction of the cost of studying in the UK. The course is delivered online.

In addition, students can apply to complete their MBA in universities in the UK using their credentials.
