Twim Institute is a Training Service Provider under the IDEAS TVET initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education, supported by the World Bank. In our first cohort we trained 100 young people in Creative Media Production over six months, free of charge to them. Sixty earned a national skills certificate, and more than 50 have already earned income from their new skills.

About the IDEAS Project
IDEAS stands for Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills. It is a Federal Government project, implemented by the Federal Ministry of Education with World Bank support, that strengthens technical and vocational education across Nigeria.
Under its TVET initiative, accredited Training Service Providers deliver tuition-free, competency-based training aligned with the National Skills Qualification framework. The aim is employable, market-relevant skills for young Nigerians.
Our Programme: Creative Media Production
Trainees at Twim Institute learned the full media production workflow in our School of Media Arts studios, covering photography, video production, sound, editing and storytelling, alongside entrepreneurship and the business of media.
The programme served young people from semi-rural communities with little prior access to professional equipment or training. It was designed so that someone starting from zero could finish with a portfolio and a recognised certificate.
