Course Description
Requirements engineering is one of the most important parts of software development. In this course, you will learn how to take a systematic approach to elicit, define, analyze, validate, document, and manage requirements.
The certificate includes:

- How to elicit requirements and techniques to use
- How to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders in the requirements process
- How to write a user story
- Best practice approaches to document requirements
- How to manage requirements
- Validating, prioritizing, and quality assurance in the requirements process
- Analyzing and evaluating requirements
How Does Learning Take Place
- Classes are online, delivered through our learning management portal, and live classes on Zoom
- Classes are a combination of live and recorded classes, ensuring that you can learn at your own convenience without taking out the “live classroom feel”.
- You can interact with your instructor(s) during live classes or ask questions on the forum
- You are expected to submit specific tasks with weekly deadlines.
Prerequisites
This course is intended for anyone interested in building a career in Business Analysis.
- There are no prerequisites.
Progression Options
This course provides knowledge that can help you get started in a career in business analysis. It also prepares you for the BCS Practitioner Certificate in Requirements Engineering which can be earned as a standalone certification or used as part of the requirements for the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
Certification
At the end of the course, you will be able to sit for the certification exam. This may be conducted either on campus at Twim Institute, or online via remote proctoring. On passing this exam, you will receive the BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (also known as the British Computer Society). Please note that this exam is billed separately. Our students enjoy a discounted rate of GBP 200.
