Course Description
This intensive business analysis course provides both a theoretical and practical understanding of the work of business analysis. It prepares candidates for the BCS Business Analysis Foundation certification exam but also teaches how to use some of the different tools used by business analysts. Students work on projects and learn by doing.
The key topics covered include:
- The role and competencies of a business analyst
- How to identify and evaluate options for improving your business
- Investigative techniques, including interviews, workshops, prototyping, and scenarios
- How to categorize, analyze and manage stakeholders
- Making a business case and assessing the feasibility
- How to document, manage and validate requirements

- Ms Visio
- Axure RP
- Jira
- Draw.io
Students have a practical understanding of several tasks including:
- Process modeling
- Creating user stories
- BRD and FRD
- Wireframing
- Stakeholder analysis
How Does Learning Take Place
- Classes are online, delivered through our learning management portal, and live classes on Zoom
- Classes are a combination of live and recorded classes, ensuring that you can learn at your own convenience without taking out the “live classroom feel”.
- You can interact with your instructor(s) during live classes or ask questions on the forum
- You are expected to submit specific tasks with weekly deadlines.

- This course is intended for anyone interested in building a career in Business Analysis.

Progression Options
Certification
At the end of the course, you will be able to sit for the certification exam. This may be conducted either on campus at Twim Institute, or online via remote proctoring. On passing this exam, you will receive the BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (also known as the British Computer Society). Please note that this exam is billed separately. Our students enjoy a discounted rate of GBP 170.
