General Questions
Is Twim Institute accredited to offer UK qualifications?
Yes! Twim Institute is an accredited centre of EduQual, a UK awarding body under the Scottish Credits and Qualifications Framework. In other words, as a learner in this program, your certification comes directly from EduQual UK. EduQual diplomas are accepted by bodies such as WES (and are therefore useful for purposes such as Canada Express Entry). They can also be used as credit towards the completion of an MBA (for the Level 11 courses) or topped-up to a Bachelors degree (for the Level 8 courses).
Twim Institute is also accredited by the British Computer Society, otherwise known as BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, to deliver its HEQs and professional certifications in areas such as Business Analysis, Agile, Artificial Intelligence and UX Design. You can confirm this from the BCS website here. You can find out more about Twim Institute’s IT offerings by visiting the Tech School’s website.

EduQual Program Questions- Undergraduate
What are the entry requirements for the Level 8 diploma program?
You are required to submit the kind of documentation that would typically be accepted for regular university admissions in your country. For Nigeria, this implies acceptable WAEC or NECO results. JAMB UTME scores are not required. For other countries, we will examine your results to determine that they are valid for admission in to the program.
What is the Level 8 Diploma equivalent to?
The EduQual Level 8 diploma is 240 credits, implying that it is actually equivalent to 2 years of UK undergraduate education, or a Higher National Diploma. “Level 8” under the Scottish Credits and Qualifications Framework is the same as Ofqual Level 5.
Under the British system, you can top this up to a Bachelors degree with only one additional year of university education.
What is the duration of the Level 8 Diploma program?
We run a fast-track class that can be completed in one year.
How does your online learning work?
We combine asynchronous and synchronous learning methods.
We sign all learners up to Online Campus, our Moodle-powered learning portal. On Online Campus, you will find recorded classes and tasks to be completed each week. You will also be able to submit assignments and engage in discussions.
We also hold live weekly classes via Zoom, giving you a chance to communicate with instructors and other learners. The idea is to ensure that you have time to balance your learning with other commitments such as work but to also give you an intensive learning experience.
Are there exams? How is learning assessed?
There are no exams. Learning is assessed through a combination of assignments and projects.
Please note that these imply that you have to be committed and actually submit painstaking, well-researched work to earn good grades.
How about bachelors degree top-ups?
We have arrangements with a number of UK-based colleges to ensure that you can complete your degree through a one-year online top-up, thus graduating with a Bachelors degree from a UK government-owned university.
With these arrangements, you will be able to access top-ups at prices that are significantly lower than normally offered by the universities.
EduQual Program Questions- Postgraduate
What are the entry requirements for the Level 11 diploma program?
You are required to submit proof of a Bachelors degree or equivalent. In cases where this is not available, we will examine your results and / or experience to determine that they are valid for admission in to the program under accreditation of prior learning rules.
What is the Level 11 Diploma equivalent to?
The EduQual Level 11 diploma is 120 credits, implying that it is actually equivalent to 1 year of UK postgraduate education, and is on the same level with a Masters degree, although it falls a little short as a UK Masters is typically 180 credits. “Level 11” under the Scottish Credits and Qualifications Framework is the same as Ofqual Level 7.
